Memories under construction at ARTCENTER SF Nov. 6-8

In partnership with Teachers College Columbia University, ArtCenter/South Florida invites the public to participate in Road Work, Memories Under Construction an action-based community project designed to collect memories of the Lincoln Road Mall. In celebration of the ArtCenter’s 30th Anniversary and the City of Miami Beach’s centennial, artists from the prestigious Teachers College will be taking both written and audiovisual memories by strollers, passers-by, artists, visitors and residents–and ultimately transforming them into pieces of art.

Now Accepting Applications for the Spring Semester

The 2015 spring semester of (r.a.d) has been organized around the rubric Tides and Flows, as a way to begin to address the intersection of environmental instability and financial acceleration around which contemporary cities, such as Miami, are being structured. Seminars and courses will be offered byPeter Fend, Brian Holmes, Rozalinda Borcila, Suhail Malik, and Diann Bauer among others.
